Meet Our Preacher

The responsibility of a preacher is to proclaim the “good news” of God’s salvation that He offers through His Son, Jesus Christ. While preachers are not formally ordained (by the church or anyone else), they are “called” to the ministry by virtue of the need at hand and each man’s desire to fulfill that need (Romans 10:14-15, Colossians 1:28). This is a sobering and challenging work, and not every man is suited for it (James 3:1). However, it carries with it the honor of proclaiming the most important message on the planet to all who are in need of it—which is everyone.

We are looking for a Preacher

Key Responsibilities

Preach the WordPreach the word in sound doctrine. He will reprove, rebuke, exhort with patience and instruction. He is a humble bond servant of the Lord and member of the congregation. (2 Tim 4:2-5)
Working under the Shepherd’s oversight and guidance, he will collaborate with the Shepherds on training and instruction that is needed for the congregation. Instruction will include sermons from the pulpit as well as weekly classes.
Evangelism Planning and Follow-upAs per our motivation and desire to evangelize in our local community, the evangelist will be a catalyst alongside the Shepherds in planning and executing evangelism efforts. Such efforts will culminate in “honest hearts” hearing and receiving the word of God. Our desire is to be “planters of the Word” while God gives the increase (1 Cor 3:6)
